More on the Lead Books Detailing the Life of Jesus

The BBC has an article on the recent announcement of the recently discovered lead books that I blogged about last week. The article offers this tantalizing statement.

They could be the earliest Christian writing in existence, surviving almost 2,000 years in a Jordanian cave. They could, just possibly, change our understanding of how Jesus was crucified and resurrected, and how Christianity was born.

Or they could be forgeries. These are early days for the study of these books and it may be many years until we know for sure what is contained in these books. Larry Hurtado offers some good advice on his blog when he says “Chill dude. Take a breath.”

However, if you want to see some of the best pictures offered yet, check out this link to the BBC.
